Real Estate Salesperson License Course (4 days) APR. 20, 27, 28 & May 4

Class Dates: April 20, 27, 28 & May 4   Class Times: 8am - 6pm   Instructor: Scott Gordon NOTE: When you purchase a ticket to this event, it will only show the first day of class, however, all dates advertised in the event above are included in the course fee. Completing this 40 hour state required pre-licensing course, qualifies you to sit for the State of MA Real Estate License examination. The course fee includes: textbooks, practices exams and a PowerPoint of the entire course. Some of the topics you'll learn: Property Ownership, Land Use Controls & Regulations, Valuation & Market Analysis, Financing, Principles of Agency, Property Condition / Disclosures, Contract Law, Transfer of Title, Fair Housing, Antitrust, Consumer Protection Laws, Real Estate Calculations, etc. Naturally, students learn far more from in-person instruction and interactive discussions than they will watching tedious videos or podcasts. Saturday Morning Birding

Come birding with our talented guides in one of the best year-round birding locations in the country. Each week throughout the year (except July), we'll search out avian activity in the Newburyport/Plum Island area. Beginners and birders of all levels are welcome to drop in and join us. There is no Saturday Morning Birding on January 19, February 9, or May 11. Preregistration is not required. In the case of inclement weather, please call ahead to confirm. Four-trip special: $30 members, $36 nonmembers. Trips need not be consecutive for special price. Instructions and Directions: Meet at Joppa Flats Education Center. Please wear weather-appropriate clothes and sturdy footwear, and bring binoculars (we do have some loaners available). Registration not required. Audience: Adults. In the early 1960's, Newburyport used state and federal funds to launch a massive redevelopment scheme to reclaim its historic neighborhoods made of granite, cobblestones and to update their utilities such as water and sewer. At the same time in order to prepare for a profitable present and future, Newburyport built an industrial park which now houses many diversified small industries.

Many residents commute daily to Boston via Route 95 and on the commuter rail.
