Atheneum Used Book Sale

To promote literacy, the Atheneum hosts three used book sales at the library each year. At the end of each sale, leftover books are sent to on-island and off-island charities. Proceeds benefit the Atheneum's programs and services. Used book sale dates: Daffodil Festival (Saturday in April) Nantucket Book Festival (Saturday in June) Christmas Stroll (Saturday in December) More information on how to donate used books Book sales volunteers are needed throughout the year to sort, package and display the thousands of books that we receive. About Nantucket, MA
The Town of Nantucket is a 50 square mile island located in Nantucket Sound waters and was founded in 1671.

Those who visit should do excellent preparing so they will make it on time for the different festivals that occur each month during the summer and all year round. The Daffodil Festival takes place in April. In May there is a Wine Festival followed by the Film Festival that occurs in June. During the month of August the Sand Castle & Sculpture Day takes place.

All of these festivals are fun for children and/ or adults. All year round the community has something for everyone in Nantucket. Come join us for some fun!
