Comedy on Elm Street with Tony V., Mark Scalia, Andrew Mayer, Tim McIntire
Scamps Comedy presents the return of Comedy on Elm Street with another fantastic lineup: Tony V., Mark Scalia, Andrew Mayer and Tim McIntire. Showtime is 9:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door on show night. Tickets may be purchased on line, at the theater, or by calling (800) 838-3006. Most recently seen on Bobcat Goldthwaits TruTV series Misfits and Monsters, Boston favorite Tony V. is a comedian and actor who works on stage, in movies and on TV. Hes a former social worker, spokesgorilla for American Tourister luggage, and balloon bouquet delivery person. In the latter role, he delivered a bouquet backstage at a Levon Helm concert, as part of a successful plot to attend the concert and hang out backstage. Hes also appeared in Ghostbusters, The Heat, The Town, Showtimes Brotherhood, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Seinfeld, etc. He co-hosts the Two Boston Guys Whack up a Pie podcast with Jimmy Dunn. With a quirky delivery and an offbeat sense of humor, Gardners Andrew Mayer has become a mainstay in Boston's comedy scene. Hes a former Boston International Comedy Festival winner, and also performed in the Bridgetown and Laughing Skull Comedy festivals. His work has surfaced in a number of places, including the New York Post and the Tosh.0 blog. Once, a piece of Andrew's work was used as a question on the ABC game show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire? If these things were listed in order of importance to Mayer himself, that last bit would be at the top of the list. Mark Scalia has headlined across the United States and Canada at major comedy clubs, numerous colleges and universities, along with corporate, private, and religious venues. He's performed with the stand-up show How Men Think (Or Do They?). He's also busy as an actor, working stages, television and films. He has also performed at The Boston International Comedy Festival, Seattle International Comedy Festival and the New Orleans Comedy Festival. Tim McIntire has been one of the most popular and prolific comedians in Boston for more than a decade. His career has been eclectic -- he's hosted the Boston Music Awards, written for Nickelodeon, released two comedy albums, performed on Comedy Central, and been featured on NPR. His legendary Thursday Night Fights and Geek Council shows at Harvard Squares The Comedy Studio are still talked about by comedy fans -- some of whom were too young to even see them in person.
