The Town of Shutesbury Massachusetts was founded in 1761 and is located in Franklin County. The town was originally named Road Town but in 1761 the town was renamed for Governor Samuel Shute which is currently Shutesbury.
The town is home to Lake Wyola and Mount Mineral and is bordered by the Quabbin Reservoir all of which come together and resulted healthy water bottling businesses.
The Quabbin Reservoir today creates opportunities for boating and swimming as well as camping and fishing and other outdoor activities.
