Over the next two years the MBTA will invest approximately $8m to replace propulsion and breaking systems of the historic Presidential
Conference Car (PCC) fleet. This significant investment will extend the service life of the PCC fleet in the near term and into the next decade. Three public meetings will be held to seek public comment, highlight the
investments and discuss a study currently underway which will assess existing conditions of the corridor’s infrastructure and future needs beyond the useful service life of existing assets.

Homebuying 101 April 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2017 Mildred Av Community Center

HB101 – Homebuying 101 is an 10-hour course over 4 days to prepare first time homebuyers for homeownership. Topics covered include Information on preparing for the mortgage process First time homebuyer mortgages How to find a home The legal aspects of buying a home How to work with professionals during the homebuying process. Graduates of this course are given a certificate that allows access to Boston Home Center Financial Assistance, Mass Housing Partnership’s ONE Mortgage, MassHousing mortgages, HUD mortgages, home ownership lotteries, and lender first time homebuyer mortgages. The certificate is accepted statewide for first time homebuyer education. Each person attending must purchase 1 ticket for the series. All sessions listed in the title must be attended for the certificate. No refunds. Makeup class attendance permitted. Sales end when event is at capacity or at ticket sales end date. This program is supported by the City of Boston Department of Neighborhood Development Boston Home Center.
