The Big Three: Coming when called, polite greetings, and good leash walking! (Single Session!) Coming when called can save your dog’s life as well as save you stress and worry.  Not Jumping to Greet (Polite Greetings) keeps people safe and permits you to take your dog with you to more places with greater comfort and saftey.  Good Leash Walking makes walks a joy to both ends of the leash AND results in more walks for both of you.  This single session workshop is for dogs with at least Basic training who would benefit from remedial brush up in any or all of these areas.  Dogs with more advanced skills will work with greater distractions and more complex exercises.  Activities will focus on one behavior at a time and then interweave activities to strengthen reliability and to make situations more like actual life. Puppies are only required to have their first series of vaccines.  You will need to show proof of vaccination at your first class. Class Cancellations If the minimum enrollment for a class is not met 2 days before the class, the class may be cancelled. We will contact enrolled participants 2 days before the first session to notify of the cancellation. Paid participants will have the option of enrolling in an alternative class, receiving credit toward a future class, or receiving a full refund. Refund Policy We will refund your class fee if you cancel in writing 3 days before the class starts. Enrollments within 3 days of the class are not eligible for refunds for any reason. A dog that is overly reactive or unruly during class may be asked to leave class, at the trainer’s discretion. Dogs actively in heat may also be asked to leave class. If either of these scenarios were to occur you may have the option to attend a private session, enroll in a later class, or receive a partial refund. Puppy and Beyond -Leverett

Puppy and Beyond (Puppy Kindergarten through Basic Manners, two in one!): Eight weekly lessons beginning January 20th, ending March 10th, for puppy ages 8-16 weeks at start of class. We may skip class on February 17th due to President's Day, so it might take 9 weeks to complete this course. We’ll help you teach your pup how to: Respond to basic obedience cues (e.g., sit, down, stay, come!, greet politely, walk nicely on leash, leave items alone on your cue, and be relaxed and settled near you) Be comfortable with handling Be comfortable around other people and new things Play nicely with other pups And more! Part of each session will also include:  Socialization:  how to introduce puppy to new things and experiences, handling/grooming/husbandry, understanding puppy’s body language communications, and much more! Tips and troubleshooting common puppy behaviors such as houstraining, nipping, jumping, and chewing. Sessions may include supervise puppy play to give your pup positive social experiences with other pups while you learn to read signs of good play and when and how to intervene productively.
