Basic Manners Dog Training -Leverett

Basic Manners Dog Training: Five weekly lessons beginning November 17th ending on December 15th. Dog must be friendly around or ignore other dogs and people in class. We’ll help you teach your dog to: Be relaxed and settled near you Greet visitors politely Walk attentively on a leash Come when you call Sit, down, stay Leave items alone on your cue And more! Instruction includes types of tools and methods to train your dog be an even more mannerly and enjoyable part  of your family. This includes basic obedience cues and how to apply them in practical, real life situations. Proof of rabies vaccination is required to register.  *For registration questions, please email kbegnoche@dakinhumane.org Discount Codes: If any of these discounts apply, enter them under "Enter Promotional Code" during registration. ADPT-Dog -10% discount is offered to dogs adopted from Dakin, TJO Shelter, or any other adoption agency. Proof of adoption required at first class. Seniors -10% discount is offered to humans age 65 and up and/or dogs age 8 or up. USMilitary -10% discount is offered to US Military (Active, Reserve, or retired) *One discount code per ticket.   Dog Training Program Policies Vaccinations All dogs must be current on rabies and other vaccinations prior to the starting their first class. Puppies are only required to have their first series of vaccines.  You will need to show proof of vaccination at your first class. Class Cancellations If the minimum enrollment for a class is not met 1 day before the class, the class may be cancelled. We will contact enrolled participants 1 day before the first session to notify of the cancellation. Paid participants will have the option of enrolling in an alternative class, receiving credit toward a future class, or receiving a full refund. Refund Policy We will refund your class fee if you cancel in writing 3 days before the class starts. Enrollments within 3 days of the class are not eligible for refunds for any reason. A dog that is overly reactive or unruly during class may be asked to leave class, at the trainer’s discretion. Dogs actively in heat may also be asked to leave class. If either of these scenarios were to occur you may have the option to attend a private session, enroll in a later class, or receive a partial refund. All refund requests must be made in writing & emailed to our office at kbegnoche@dakinhumane.org or by calling us at (413) 781-4000 x 117.

The Big Three -Leverett

The Big Three!  Come When Called, Walk Politely on Leash, and Say ‘Hi’ Without Jumping  Does your dog need a brush up on the three most challenging (and a most important) canine manners?  Would you like your dog to come when called more reliably?  Do you want your dog to focus on you more than on everything else when walking on leash?  How about greeting – does your dog jump on you or on people he meets?  This three-session workshop starting November 17th ending on December 1st will teach you techniques for achieving your goals and give you time to practice them under the instructor’s supervision.  We’ll focus one session on each behavior & weave all the behaviors together during the sessions as well.  As with all Dakin training, we will use positive approaches to achieve your goals.  You will learn a variety of techniques to strengthen your dog’s good leash walking, recall, and greeting and strengthen your teaching skills.   This workshop is open to dogs of all ages who have some basic training skills and who are dog and human friendly.  Proof of rabies vaccination is required to register. *For registration questions, please email kbegnoche@dakinhumane.org Discount Codes: If any of these discounts apply, enter them under "Enter Promotional Code" during registration.
