UUMA Spring Retreat in New England: Where Leads Our Call?

Worship, Renewal, Collegial Connection and Continuing Education This retreat is sponsored by the UUMA Chapters from Mass Bay District and Clara Barton District, and is open to all UUMA members. The more the merrier!    PROGRAM: WHERE LEADS OUR CALL? Facilitated by Rev. Jill Cowie and Rev. Christina Sillari Frederic Buechner wrote, "To find our calling is to find the intersection between our own deep gladness and the world's deep hunger." Ministers' calls come in many different forms and from many different sources. This UUMA-wide conversation will provide UUMA members the opportunity to reflect on their calls, imagine where they are being called today and tomorrow and how that call intersects with excellence in ministry. Ministry is ancient and never changing and modern and always changing.  What are the impacts of these changes on ministers and on the congregations and communities they serve? In this challenging context, what are the theologies and practices that support striving for excellence in ministry and where do our calls lead us?  Where Leads Our Call?, addresses these questions and more. LOCATION: Craigville Retreat Center, 39 Prospect Avenue, Centerville, MA 02632 ACCOMMODATIONS: Guest rooms accommodate two or more people, and may may be reserved as singe or shared occupancy. You may name preferred roommate(s) on the registration form when requesting a shared occupancy room. The Craigville Retreat Center overlooks the salt marsh of Nantucket Sound and Red Lily Pond. Main meeting spaces are 100% ADA accessible, some guest rooms may not be. Please indicate accessibility requirements on your registration form. DINING: The Dining Room, located in the Craigville Inn, provides a full service menu of home-made, delicious, and healthy meals. Please indicate dietary needs and restrictions on your registration form. CHILD CARE: Would you need child care to participate? If so, please indicate on the registration form. Additional cost will be determined collaboratively. Onsite Rooming Rates:  $220 shared occupancy (shared with one or more people) $270 single occupancy includes program, meals and overnight stay Please contact your chapter leadership to discuss scholarships. REGISTRATION CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28, 2018 CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation prior to the registration deadline will be subject to a $25 handling fee. Cancellations made after the registration deadline but a week or more before the retreat will be subject to a $75 fee. Refunds for cancellations made within the week prior to the retreat will be given only under emergency circumstances. About Centerville, MA
Centerville Massachusetts located in Barnstable County and is one of five villages in the town of Barnstable on Cape Cod.

The community was formally known as Chequaquet or "pleasant harbor". It was later renamed Centerville for its location among the other villages.
