Fall High Holidays at Light of the Menorah Tickets are open to the public – Jewish and Non-Jewish – who want to celebrate with us.  Our services, as always, are conducted in Russian and English.  All Hebrew is transliterated into English and Russian so you can follow along.  The translation is spoken in English as well.  We want you to fully know and understand the meaning of each part of the service.  You will find a wonderful blend of traditional observance and modern worship as we continue to celebrate the majesty and glory of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – the Creator and King of the Universe! Sukkot Menu - Assorted Sandwiches, Salad and Soup Steak & Arugula Sandwich, Modern Caprese Sandwich, Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich, Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich, Sierra Turkey Sandwich Broccoli Cheddar Soup Spicy Thai Salad with Chicken Asian Sesame Salad with Chicken October 8th-9th ~Erev Yom Kippur & Yom Kippur [Day of Atonement]  We will close out the Yomim Nora’im – the Ten Days of Awe – with our observance of Yom Kippur.  As we fast together, we will be in prayer for family, friends, and the nation of Israel who do not yet know their Messiah – the One who has already provided eternal life for them.  There will be no meals at the service as we fast.  The nexy day at the end of our fast, we will come together to break the fast and enjoy a wonderful dinner at the congregation. All are welcome! ~$20 October 14th ~ Sukkot [Feast of Tabernacles] Help us put up our congregational sukkiyah.  This is a great time to bring the family together to help build and decorate the sukkiyah(booth/tent)!  If you have palm branches that you need to clear off your property, you can bring it. We will be using them for our sukkiyah roof.  Also if anyone wishes to bring any fruits and vegetables it will be appreciated. We invite you to join us after our Sukkot service for lunch. ~$20 October 21st ~ Shmini Atzeret  [Eight Day of Assembly] The fall holidays come to a close with the joyous holiday of Simchat Torah! We come together to complete the annual Torah reading cycle.  This is a wonderful opportunity to see the Torah scroll up close, something that many people don’t get to do.  Be ready to march around the banquet hall following the Torah – reminiscent of the children of Israel following the pillar of cloud and fire.  We rejoice in the Word made flesh who came to dwell with us at Sukkot and brought the Word to life in human form.  What a wonderful way to celebrate the gift of God – His Messiah and His written word!  You won’t want to miss it! ~$20

About West Springfield, MA
West Springfield is located in western Massachusetts featuring both suburban and rural qualities. Although it's a city government, the community wishes to be known as "The Town of West Springfield". There are many elements of the town's continuing old New England flavor that include the Town Common and the Josiah Day House which dates back to 1754 and is believed to be the oldest structure of its kind in Massachusetts.

West Springfield's biggest tourist attraction is the Eastern States Exposition which hosts the state fair for the entire New England region in September. The Big E is well known for everything from horse and dog shows and everyone from Cowboys to NASCAR fans will come throughout the year.
West Springfield is also a commercial center for the region and the trains are always busy along the railways. Major retailers and warehouse outlets have located there along with the region's largest complex of movie theaters.

Many will remember the Tornado that ripped through the neighborhoods of West Springfield on June 1, 2011 which caused devastation across 39 miles of Massachusetts. The Tornado was the first in 15 years to cause a death in Massachusetts which only see's an average of 2 confirmed tornadoes a year.

Most of the town's residents would attest that because of the diversity of choices offered in terms of housing and recreation, employment and shopping, West Springfield is a wonderful place to work and raise a family.
