Drury After Dark Presents: Look Park ft. Chris Collingwood w/s/g Adam Michael Rothberg
Grammy Nominee Chris Collingwood brings his project LOOK PARK to DPAC! As the former lead singer of Fountains of Wayne, he was nominated for two Grammys, including a Best New Artist nod in 2003, after scoring a hit ("Stacy's Mom") with their third album, Welcome Interstate Managers. Look Park shares their alternative rock music with earnest emotion and reckless energy while exploring more untraveled forms of music. LOOK PARK is Chris Collingwood's first album outside of Fountains of Wayne, recorded in collaboration with legendary producer Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Crowded House, Suzanne Vega). Warm and enveloping, the loose-limbed psychedelic pop of songs like Aeroplane and Breezy is marked by deep, lush instrumentation. Collingwood's literate lyricism and melodic sense enhanced by GRAMMY® Award-winning Frooms layered palette. Adam Michael Rothbergs music captures the heart and soul and all the folk-rock-pop and the appeal of the great songwriters of the 60s, 70s and beyond, while happily occupying his a style and genre all his own. He plays everything from guitars, bass and mandolin to keyboards and drums. He has performed with Joan Baez and produced and recorded with some of the nations top singer-songwriter talents, including Dar Williams. His third studio album is titled Soul of a Man. Drury After Dark is a concert series that places the audience member in an intimate performance situation with the performer, often right on stage! Special guests also include Drury HS Musicians: Audrey Belanger, Hailey Peters, Seven Noel & Connor Kelly.
