Retracing Native Histories on the Landscape - Guided Walk
Join guide Rob Hoogs to explore a new interpretive trail on the gounds of the Bidwell House Museum as you retrace the steps of the Native Americans—specifically the local Stockbridge Band of the Mohican Tribe—who lived and hunted in this area for thousands of years.  Part of the tour takes place in the Museum gardens while the last half takes you through some of the wooded trails on the property.  Dress for a hike and bring water and a snack.

Summer Garden Party Fundraiser
You are invited to our annual summer fundraising party on August 3 from 4-7 pm! Celebrate with friends and neighbors in the verdant gardens of the Bidwell House Museum as we honor a true gem in our midst, John Demos, renowned Samuel Knight Professor of History at Yale University, award winning author and neighbor. He has contributed so much to the museum, and has treated us to some of our most entertaining history talks! Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres catered by Old Inn on the Green, beautiful music from Eric Martin and Karen Axelrod, a walk through the flower gardens and short tours of the house. You can also bid on some wonderful items in our silent auction, including a stay in Lake Como.  Or you support our wonderful history education program. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased below.  We can’t wait to see you on August 3! Thank you for your support! All contributions benefit the Bidwell House Museum and its programs: maintenance of the collection, research and education about the Berkshires in the 1700s, and the preservation of open space. The Bidwell House Museum is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. For federal income tax purposes, you can deduct as a charitable contribution the price of a ticket less its fair market value, estimated at $90.
