The Town of Tyringham Massachusetts was founded in 1762 and is located in Berkshire County. Tyringham is believed to have received its name after a town in England from Lord Viscount Howe just days before he passed away at the battle of Ticonderoga.
The small town has a low year round population of about 350 people.
Located in the town is Hop Brook which is considered by sportsmen to be one of the five best trout streams in the country.
