Herbal Remedies Series: Fall

Each season, join community herbalist & farmer, Cathy Keough, to learn how to make simple home remedies and concotions from local plants that grow in your backyard!

In this class, we will discuss traditional culinary and medicinal uses of plants that can be found growing in Western MA. While on a hike at Notchview, we will talk about herb identification, history of herbal use, and how these plants support human health. Bring shoes and gear for light hiking, as the class will be primarily held outdoors.

Herbal tea and recipes will be provided at the end of the class!

About Instructor:  Cathy Keough is a community herbalist, farmer & gardener, and life long lover of the outdoors.  She studied plants and the way they engage with humans and support health while at the Vermont Center of Integrative Herbalism in Montpelier, VT and at Herb Pharm in Williams, Oregon.  She is devoted to bringing people into deeper connection with plants in order to nourish the wellbeing of both humans and the natural world.
