2nd Annual Mikey SBX Fundraiser
On 21 September 2019 I will be hosting a fundraiser to help offset the costs of my snowboard training, travel, and equipment. Though I work full time in the off-season and budget the best I can I am coming up short. As I progress there are more competitions to travel to my costs are increasing. For that reason reason I am asking for your help in order to achieve my dream. Everyone was so generous last year which allowed me to continue on another season and I am so close to acheiving my dreams. I hope I can count on your continued support! At this event hors d’oeuvres will be served prior to a dinner buffet. Beer and wine will be availible for purchase to sip on while you mingle and enjoy music and friends. There will be ample opportunities to win great prizes as I will be holding a raffle as well as an auction. Examples of prizes are a pair of skis and a weekend getaway. If you cannot attend the event please consider donating to help me acheive my goal, every dollar counts. If you click on tickets there is a donate option as well. Thank you!

Wellness Month with StrengthnHerSole
We are excited to welcome Sarah Segesdy, certified Health & Wellness Coach, yoga instructor, and Level II USATF Certified Running Coach for a weekly wellness series! Join us every Tuesday in October for a different topic: 10/1: Fueling the body both pre-post workout - Bonking on long runs? Fatigued muscles that won't loosen up? Suffering from GI distress during or after a run? Learn the proper ways to fuel your body before a run and after a run. There is no one size fits all model. Let me show you how to take charge and find what works for you! 10/8: Preventing Lower Leg Injuries - A majority of runners are injured every year and many of these injuries are shin splints, tight calf muscles, tight or pulled hamstrings, or foot pain. If you suffer from any of these or want to learn how to incorporate prevention into your routine - this is the talk for you! 10/15: Rest and Recovery Days - Runners have a hard time slowing down and often find workouts with a low cardio threshold "boring" or leave them feeling like they need to go workout. If your heart rate is more elevated than normal, if your muscles are tight/sore/fatigued, if you struggle to lace up and get out the door then this is the talk for you! 10/22: Take your training to the next level - It's one thing to go out for long runs several days a week for a similar mileage but if you are interested in taking your training to the next level and to put some PRs on the board this fall/spring season, its imperative that you add hill work, speed work, and cross training to your routine. Let me show you how! 10/29: Kick your sugar habit - event information coming soon!

Join us for a complimentary ChiRunning workshop with Jean Gillis. ChiRunning is a natural running technique, aimed to reduce injury and improve personal performance. ChiRunning takes its guidance from the inner design of T’ai Chi which asks us to move the body in a natural order, where the big muscles do the heavy lifting, the smaller muscles do less and the tiniest muscles do very little. The mission of ChiRunning is to help you LOVE running forever.
