Yoga Flow @ Quincy Yoga & Massage
This yoga style requires a good-working knowledge of the basic yoga poses. The emphasis in this class is on synchronizing movement and breath in a flowing movement– inspiring the style name, Flow (‘Vinyasa” in Sanskrit). The postures move from one to the next smoothly in a flow as students move through the basic postures as well as some more challenging variations. Each class incorporates a mix of strengthening poses, twists, balancing poses, backbends, and forward bends. Binding, arm balances and more advanced inversions will be made available to those students who have more advanced practices. Beginner students should be familiar and generally comfortable with the basic poses before trying Vinyasa for the first time.

Wrap up your work week with a gentle and restorative yoga class. Gentle yoga uses different sequencing for strengthening, opening, and cleansing the body. Each class incorporates a mix of seated poses, twists, and forward bends. The poses move slowly and are held for varying lengths of time, unlike in our Flow (Vinyasa-style) classes where the poses are linked and create a flowing movement from one pose to the next.

Strong Slow Flow @ Quincy Yoga & Massage
Slow Flow Yoga introduces foundational yoga postures, teaches you how to breath and helps you feel more comfortable in the yoga practice. The emphasis in this class is on synchronizing movement and breath in a flowing movement– inspiring the style name, Flow (‘Vinyasa” in Sanskrit). Each class incorporates a mix of strengthening poses, twists, balancing poses, backbends, and forward bends. Although this class moves at a slower pace than the other vinyasa classes, expect to be challenged both mentally and physically. Emphasizing safety and alignment, modifications will be offered so that everyone can work at their own pace with their own authentic breath. You will leave feeling stronger, centered, and refreshed.
