No one can beat the no-armed protagonist of her previous book, but this one is The Goonies meets the Breakfast Club for modern times. Dusti will be here all the way from Arizona to discuss her new novel, 24 HOURS IN NOWHERE, talk about her real life inspirations for her characters, answer audience questions, and sign books.

If you are interested in learning how to sew or would like to enhance your current sewing skills this is the perfect workshop for you! This creative and fun sewing workshop will enable you to sew on a sewing machine while creating your very own 12 x 12 decorative pillow! You will have dozens of fabrics to choose from and all supplies will be provided. These make wonderful gifts or keep for yourself. Bring your own machine or borrow one during the workshop. Recommended ages 18 and up. ABOUT THE CREATIVE ART STUDIO:The Creative Sewing Studio opened in 2007 first as a custom handbag and clothing business that has since evolved into a thriving sewing, fashion and art studio for adults and children. Owner, Mikala Cash, began sewing at the age of six and received formal training while enrolled in the fashion program at MA College of Art and Design. Mikala has worked as a stitcher and dresser for various theatre and fashion companies throughout New England. Kripalu Yoga 8-Week Fall Program
Start the day off right with Kripalu Yoga (the yoga of compassion) which is designed to develop a greater sense of non-judgmental self awareness. The focus is on the health and well-being of your body, for your mind and for your spirit. This class will begin with warm-up movements and breath awareness to prepare you for yoga postures. The heart of the class is a sequence of postures that stretch, strengthen and balance your body. Each class ends with deep relaxation and meditation. All levels are welcome. By offering a gradient approach to the practice, new students can comfortably and safely practice side-by-side with seasoned practitioners. Students should wear loose fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat, beach towel or small blanket, and bottled water. Additional yoga props including yoga straps, blocks, and tennis balls will be available for use.  There is the option to register for a drop-in class for $18.00 or a 8-class card at a discounted rate. If you are registering for all 8 weeks of yoga, the class dates will be as follows and tickets must be purchased in advance of the first class. The 8-week class card can only be used for this session of Kripalu Yoga and will not be valid for any other session. Each class runs from 9:30am-10:45am. Open Mic Night
In order to encourage creativity in the local community, we are seeking artists to come play music and/or read poetry at our store. If you are planning to perform cover music, please first check that your playlist matches up with the available songs in the BMI Repertoire. You can search by artist or song title. Each act will be given 15 minutes to perform and there will be a 5-minute break in between performances for breakdown and set up. Since our store is a family-friendly environment, we ask that the material from each performer be appropriate for all ages.

Glass Painting Workshop
Spend the morning creating a Luna Moth sun catcher that will make a great gift for someone for the holidays or a wonderful keepsake for your window at home. Learn what it is like to create glass window art using outlining paste and transparent paint, made especially for glass. This class is recommended for ages 13 and up. All supplies included.  ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:Kim Belleavoine has been working with glass as her canvas for 16 years. She loves taking original subject matter and transforming it into her own patterns, colors, and shapes. The biggest thrill about glass painting is taking the finished product outside for the first time to get the full effect of the natural sunlight shining through it. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Education. She was a gardener at a rustic restaurant in Brooklyn, CT. She is now a full time artist, exhibiting year round at art festivals and craft fairs. She teaches workshops and painting full time at her studio in Chepachet, RI.
