MBTA implements service improvements this spring

 Spring 2024 schedules on Commuter Rail will take effect on May 20; ferry schedules to take effect in April and May.  

The MBTA is implementing a series of service enhancements across all modes this spring season. These improvements are designed to provide riders with more frequent, reliable, and convenient transportation options across the MBTA’s service areas.

Blades and LEGO Character

Children at Mass General for Children (MGfC) had a BRICKTASTIC morning when they were presented with care packages from LEGO® Discovery Center Boston and the Boston Bruins®. In honor of the Bruins Centennial Year, the two organizations collaborated to bring 100 care packages including tickets to LEGO® Discovery Center Boston, LEGO builds, Bruins gear and more to children at the hospital.

After devoting 24 years of his life to service he was forced into early retirement due to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a rare, debilitating and incurable disease. PSP is not yet covered by the fire department as a work-related disability and the extensive, 24-hour care required is not covered by the city’s health insurance.
